Michael Saylor is the executive chairman of Strategy, the business intelligence company he co-founded in 1989 as MicroStrategy and which took the name Strategy in February 2025. He was the company's chief executive until August 2022, and in August 2020 the company began buying bitcoin with its cash reserves. He is the author of the 2012 book The Mobile Wave.
