Geoff Kendrick is global head of digital assets research at Standard Chartered. He joined the bank in 2016 as an emerging-markets FX and global macro strategist, and led its crypto research team when the bank began research coverage of bitcoin and ether in September 2021. Earlier he held FX strategy roles at Westpac, UBS and Nomura and headed Asia FX and rates strategy at Morgan Stanley.
Gives price forecasts for bitcoin and ether and, since 2025, for other crypto tokens such as XRP, Solana, BNB and Avalanche, mostly in research notes to clients that news outlets then report. The forecasts usually set a level for the end of each of the next several years and are revised as markets move; most are for prices to rise, with some near-term calls for declines.
