Privacy and cookies

PredictionVerifier is a static website. You can read every page without an account, and we do not sell or share data about our readers with advertisers. This page lists everything we collect and what you can do about it.

Google Analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read and how people find the site. Until you click “Accept” in the banner at the bottom of the page, Google Analytics does not load: no cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google. If you click “Decline”, it stays that way.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and one named _ga_ plus our property id, which last up to two years, and records the pages you open, the page you came from, your browser, device and screen size, and your approximate location (country and city), which Google works out from your IP address without storing the address. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalisation. Google processes this data for us as a processor; see how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Messages you send us

The forms on Contact, Suggest a prediction and Report an error are delivered by Web3Forms, which forwards what you type to our email. If you give your email address, we use it only to reply to you. We keep messages for as long as we need them to handle your request and do not add anyone to a mailing list. You can also write to hello@predictionverifier.com directly.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, it processes your IP address and the request itself to deliver the page and to protect the site from attacks. We do not use these logs to identify readers. Fonts and images are served from our own domain; links to other sites load nothing until you click them.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by writing to hello@predictionverifier.com. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

When this page changes, its “Updated” date changes too.

Your choice

Your choice is saved in this browser’s local storage (not in a cookie) together with the date, and we ask again after 13 months. It applies to this browser only. You can change it at any time with the buttons on this page. If you withdraw your permission, Google Analytics stops at once and its cookies are deleted.
