Coinbase chief executive Brian Armstrong still expects Bitcoin to reach $400,000 by 2030, he told CNBC Squawk Box Asia on Thursday, calling it a "reasonable target" even as BTC currently trades around $77,000.
Armstrong pointed to Bitcoin's four-year cycle of run-up and euphoria followed by a roughly year-long down period, saying the current down period had just passed the one-year mark and that he believes the bottom is in. He also said runups tend to come ahead of Bitcoin halvings, with the next one about 18 months away, and that the next year or two should be good for Bitcoin.
