Former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes says he expects Ethereum to reach $5,000 by the end of Q1 2023.
Hayes tied the call to two expectations: that the Federal Reserve will pivot back to money printing within a few months, and that the Ethereum Merge will succeed. He argued the Merge would cut ETH supply issuance and, combined with fee burning, push the price of Ether up. He also cited Chinese Ethereum miners planning a proof-of-work fork as a sign the Merge would happen on schedule.
